In terms of the directive (EC) No 648/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council the phrase “detergent” indicates a substance or formulation, which contains soap and/or other tensides and is intended for processes of washing and cleaning.
Detergents may have different formings (liquid, powder, paste, bar, plate, shaped pieces, figures etc.) and are applied or distributed for institutional or industrial purposes.
